- Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the repair by replacement of the underground hot and chilled water loops. Work includes the removal and replacement of both underground water loops, along with associated hot water and chilled water pumps, piping, valves, controls, test and balance, etc. Other work associated with this project includes but is not limited to excavation, landscaping, pavement, sidewalks, and new valve vaults. Temporary heating, ventilating, and air conditioning will be required. The work shall be performed by a mechanical contractor who has demonstrated experience in the replacement of underground site utilities, pressure piping, and excavation work. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 268 calendar days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. Regardless of the award date, NGA will not allow the chilled water and hot water loops to be taken out of service earlier than 15 March 2011. The loops must be restored to service no later than 15 October 2011. The approximate cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project is currently Subject to the Availability of Funds (SAF). This project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 238220, size standard $14.0M. This work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63118.
