- RECOVERY-ARRA-THOMPSON ASPEN STEWARDSHIP - This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003, to reflect sec.323 of J.J. Res. 2 as enrolled) the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec.347. This is a commercial acquisition that has been tailored to fit the Government's method of trading goods for services. This project includes approximately 53 acres of mechanical thinning of commercial and biomass size conifers, machine piling, and pile burning. The project is located on the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District, approximately 4 miles southwest of Janesville, CA. It is situated in the vicinity of Clarks Peak. NOTE: There will be a prebid meeting. The location, date, and time will be in the solicitation. Estimated solicitation date is July 28, 2010.
