- Description
- The Forest Service seeks offers for Tree Girdling on the Tonasket Ranger District, Near Tonasket, WA, Okanogan County. The work consists of top girdling and ground girdling of dwarf mistletoe infected western larch trees as described herein on the Tonasket Ranger District, Okanogan National Forest. Services are to be performed during the period of August 15, 2010 through October 31, 2010. Location: From Tonasket, Washington, travel east on Highway 20 towards the town of Wauconda approximately 27 miles, then turn south on County Road 4960, (Mt. Anne road). Drive approximately one mile south to the National Forest boundary. Travel south ½ mile on Forest Service road 3100 to the junction of roads 3100 and 3100-200. Refer to the Project maps for specific unit locations. The minimum quantity and contract guarantee for this task order is 341 acres of girdling, (Frosty stands 103, 112, and 167), with a maximum of 551 acres of girdling to be awarded depending on availability of funding, in accordance with the Option Clause of the contract.
