- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single-source contract to Innovative Technical Solutions, Inc (ITSI) for the procurement of the following: Refurbishment of VORTAC Counterpoise, Misawa AB Japan This single-source acquisition is necessary in order to support the need of US Air Forces in Japan. This procurement is considered to be single-source as ITSI is the only source currently in country capable of supporting refurbishment efforts. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures as well as locate additional sources capable of fulfilling future requirements. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm believes it can fulfill the requirement, please provide evidence of your firm's capability and experience in providing the services outlined above and the FAA will evaluate that information accordingly.
