Description
This notice is to invite industry to participate in a Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 5A, Advanced Development Office for Undersea Systems, Industry Day to communicate capability development objectives for its research interests in advanced undersea technologies in the area of signal processing technologies in support of Surface Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems.The Naval Sea Systems Command issued Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) N0002410IWS5A01 on 8 June 2010 for contractors to propose their participation in advanced undersea technologies in the areas of processing, organic, and distributed sensors. This industry day will be focused on signal processing technologies in support of Surface Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems, and will be held on Thursday, 19 August 2010 at Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors in Manassas, VA from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m. The industry day will include briefs classified up to the SECRET level which requires each participant to submit a security clearance prior to the meeting. Due to limitations on space, only three (3) persons per company location will be allowed to participate. Parties interested in attending should request a registration package (which will include directions for submission of the security clearances) by e-mailing with the subject ADVANCED UNDERSEA TECHNOLOGIES INDUSTRY DAY REGISTRATION REQUEST. Registration will be open through 16 August 2010. The tentative agenda for the industry day includes: An Advanced Capability Build (ACB) Process Overview, Discussion of Proposal Content, Relevant Mission/Tactical Requirements, System Gaps/Seams and Desired Capability Focus Areas. Please Note that since this event includes classified briefings, no notes may be taken. Copies of the briefs may be provided to attendees under a separate mailing.
