Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (Modified 7/14/2010 at 11:37 am) Question 1: May I fax in my quote? Answer 1: Per the solicitation announcement, only quotes emailed to Candace.I.Johnson@nga.mil by the close of the announcement will be considered. DO NOT fax quotes for consideration. Question 2: DO YOU (NGA) NEED ALL 23 PAGES OF THE SOLICITATION RETURNED? Answer 2: No, the only thing required to be turned in at this point is your quote for the requested items. We would prefer that you also submit the Small Business information starting on Page 14 through 22 of the solicitation as well but it is not required. Question 3: Would you like the 1449 form signed, and faxed to you? Answer 3: At this point, it is not required that a signed 1449 form be on file in order for your quote to be considered. Question 4: Is the government requesting 4 additional print cartridges in addition to the 4 cartridges that ship with the unit? Answer 4: Yes Question 5: Is the government requesting an additional 2-year warranty,(next business day response time)in addition to the 1-yr standard warranty for a total of three years? Answer 5: Yes ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-41. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has a requirement for Hewlett-Packard LaserJet Printer or equivalent substitute. This requirement is being set aside for small businesses and competed solely through the Government Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). The specific requirement and associated contract clauses are included with this synopsis/solicitation and are viewable via attachment #1. Offerors must sign in to the FBO website to view the attachment. An MPIN may also be required. All vendors interested in submitting a quote for consideration should do so, prior to the solicitation closing date of July 16, 2010 by 12:00pm EST, via E-MAIL ONLY to the point of contact(s) listed in this solicitation. Quotes not submitted via e-mail will NOT be evaluated. All submissions should be in accordance with the stipulations set forth below: 1. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes and is set aside for small businesses. Quotes from Other than Small Business (OSB) shall not be considered. 2. Quotes shall be based upon open market pricing. Quote must include pricing for each of the items listed in the solicitation and must include shipping costs in the total price of the items. 3. Award shall be made to the offeror that submits the LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE (LPTA) quote. The technical requirements of the hardware are detailed in attachment #1. BIDDERS MUST ADDRESS EACH ITEM IN THEIR QUOTE THAT WAS ADDRESSED IN THE SOLICIATION, IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE. 4. Submissions should not contain attachments greater than 3MB in size. Such submissions may be excluded. 5. All items shall be delivered to the location referenced in the solicitation in accordance with the delivery schedule cited therein. 6. All questions should be in writing, VIA E-MAIL ONLY directed to Contracts Specialist Candace I. Johnson at Candace.I.Johnson@nga.mil. All questions (and their answers) will be posted on the FBO website to provide equal access to information for all potential offerors. The submission deadline for questions is July 14, 2010 by 12:00pm EST. 7. All offerors should submit a completed version of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications (attached). 8. All vendors must propose the NAICS code specified in the solicitation. Those vendors who submit a quote not in accordance with the NAICS code will be eliminated from the competition. 9. All items quoted must be new - refurbished items will NOT be accepted.
