- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Tucson Area Office is soliciting proposals to contract for onsite rheumatology clinical services for eligible American Indians and Alaskan Natives at two separate healthcare facilities located on the Tohono O’Odham Nation in Southern Arizona. The Sells Indian Hospital is approximately 60 miles west of Tucson & the San Xavier Health Center is adjacent to Tucson city limits. This contract will provide for medically necessary diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative rheumatology services to eligible Indian beneficiaries who seek care at the facilities within the Sells Service Unit, Tucson Area Indian Health Service (TAIHS). The solicitation will result in non-personal, firm-fixed price, definite-quantity type contract. Pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 37, this contract will be a non-personal service contract under which an independent contractor shall render services and is not subject to continuous supervision and control by the Government. The solicitation is scheduled to be released on July 15, 2010 and will close at COB on August 17, 2010. All interested parties should submit request information by email, or through letter. The requirement will be for one base year and if exercised up to four additional one-year option periods.
