Description
The Transportation Security Administration Office of Law Enforcement has a requirement for a fixed price construction contract to expand an existing parking lot at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This requirement will include the following tasks: Site Clearing, mobilization and Final Clean-Up, Removal and relocation of the existing fill from the proposed parking area, Expansion of the existing parking area, including removal of existing curbs, paving of the proposed parking area and driveways, installation of concrete vertical and depressed curbs, concrete sidewalk, asphalt walk, providing parking and driveway area stripping and traffic signs, Handicapped parking area markings, including handicapped ramps, signage and installation of parking concrete stops. Storm water system improvements include, enlarging the existing storm water basins, Installation of inlets and reinforced concrete pipes and removal and installation of basin fence and gate. Electrical system improvements include the replacement and installation of electrical lines and installation of single and double area lights. The project also includes the installation of sediment barriers, soil stabilization requirements and other miscellaneous items as required to complete the project. Additional Responsibilities include: The submission of shop drawings to the design engineer for approval, ten (10) days prior to ordering any materials and equipments and the submittal of cut-sheets for approval, three (3) days prior to the start of actual construction. This requirement is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses in accordance with NAICS codes 238910 and 238140. Contractor shall provide all labor and construction equipment necessary for this project. Contractor will be responsible for all removal and disposal of debris I/A/W/ local, state and federal regulations. The total estimated value for this project is between $200,000 and $500,000.00. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of contract price are required after notification of award. Construction shall commence 7 calendar days from date of contract with completion not to exceed 90 days from the notice to proceed. A site visit will be held on July 27, 2010, 10:00 AM, EST with all parties meeting at the Security Operations Center Main Gate. Security issues require companies to identify personnel whom will be attending this site visit.
