- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, TACOM Contracting Center, Warren, Michigan, intends to issue a sole-source Request for Proposal with Bright Automotive, Anderson, IN. The proposed effort contemplates the award to advance the development of the PHEV demonstration vehicle constructed in Phase I by Bright Automotive, which will result in a prototype vehicle in September 2010, focusing on powertrain optimization, thermal control system, emission control system, active stability control system and electrical grid connectivity system upgrades. The Government intends to procure these services on an other than full and open competition basis with Bright Automotive under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by far 6.302-1(a)(2) based on only one responsible source. A period of performance of thirteen (13) months is anticipated to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement; capability statements should be emailed to corey.sadowski@us.army.mil. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., local time, Warren, MI, August 27, 2010. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
