- The United States Coast Guard, Base Support Unit (BSU) Portsmouth - Procurement Division is seeking a qualified source to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to install 86 feet of Steel Frame, Aluminum Facing and 13 Roof Pitch Pockets along the roof of the Naval Engineering Support Unit (NESU) building located at USCG BSU Portsmouth, 4000 Coast Guard Blvd., Portsmouth, VA 23703. The Government anticipates posting the solicitation package on the FedBizOpps website, on or about July, 29 2010 with a tentative closing date of August 27, 2010. The solicitation package will not be available until it is posted on FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to check the FedBizOpps website for the solicitation package and any solicitation amendments. This is a Total Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 238160 and the Small Business Size Standard is $14.0M. The government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price construction purchase order for this requirement. The construction magnitude of this project is $25,000-$100,000. Interested parties will be required to complete and submit FAR Provision 52.219-1 (Small Business Program Representation) with their quote. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this project. An Alternative Payment Protection and Pre-Construction Conference will be required. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and must have an active and complete registration status prior to receipt of their Quote. Lack of active and complete registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
