- Description
- This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16U.S.C.2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003, to reflect sec.323 of J.J. Res.2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec.347. This is a commercial acquisition that has been tailored to fit the Government's method of trading goods for services. This contract will consist of 20 acres of lop and scatter of trees less than 12 inches, 14 acres of contour felling of trees between 10-14 inches, hand thin and pile 62 acres, and harvest approximately 130 acres. This project is located in Rich Gulch along Highway 70 and Plumas County Road 317, Plumas National Forest, Mt. Hough Ranger District, Plumas County, California. The project area is three miles West of Twain, California, on Highway 70. The legal location is T25N, R7E, Sections 1, 2, and 12; T25N, R8E, Sections 5,6,7, and 18; T26N, R8E, Section 31; and T26N, R7E, Section 35 and 36. The estimated solicitation issue date is July 26, 2010. NOTE: There will be a prebid meeting. The location, date, and time will be in the solicitation.
