- Primary work under this contract will include road reconditioning and graveling of 5.3 miles of existing graveled National Forest System Road. Approximately 2.2 miles of road reconditioning and graveling will consists of double lane road while the remainder is single lane road. Additional work under this contract includes removal and disposal three existing substandard 14' cattleguard with concrete vaults or bases which are to be replaced with three new 7'-9" x 16' cattleguards with prefabricated bases, triple post wings, 16' bypass gates, braces, and object markers. New cattleguard installations shall meet or exceed a design live load in accordance with AASHTO-HS20-44. All surface aggregate materials for this project are from Government sources located at Bear Mountain Pit (T3S R3E S4) and Copper Mountain Pit (T1S R3E S28) near the project site. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, incidentals, and perform all work required in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and provisions of this contract. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation, AG-82X9-S-09-0112, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request For Proposal (RFP) and will be available for downloading on or about July 30, 2010 at the website address http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The NAICS code is 237310. A Pre-Proposal Visit date will be included in the solicitation. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. A handbook and other information are available at the site, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process. Vendors are required to register at the Online Representations and Certifications website (ORCA); registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
