- The USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for the Dry Dock repair of the USCGC FIR (WLB 213). The requirement is 100% set aside for small business. Performance will be accomplished at the Contractors Facility within 500 miles of Pensacola Florida. The cutter will be available for performance from 23 July 2010 through 30 July 2010. The work may include, but is not limited to Rudder Stock Bearings, Check Clearances; Rudder inspect and Repair; Rudder and Rudder Stock, removal and Inspection; Drydocking; Temporary Services, Provide; Sea Trail Performance, Provide Support; Voids (Accessible), Inspect; Rudder Bearings, Renewal; Towing Services, Provide; Laydays; The NAICS code assigned to this procurement is 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. On or about 15 July 2010 a Request for Quotation will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. To access this and download Coast Guard Ship repair availability specifications, offerors are required to have registered at www.FedTeDS.gov (CCR and DUNS number or CAGE code required). Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Offerors are advised that once registered in FedTeDS, access to the synopsis, solicitation, specification and other notification is via www.fedbizopps.gov, vendor DHS (Direct Reports).
