- This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for SF 330's or proposals. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), Pittsburgh, PA is issuing this Sources Sought notice to determine availability of Architect/Engineer (A/E) firms that have the experience and capabilities to provide A/E services as described below for Project #646-09-131 "Operating Room Expansion". The applicable NAICS code is 541330 with a small business size standard of $4.5 million. The construction cost estimate is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The A/E firm will develop construction contract drawings and specifications to renovate and expand the existing Operating Room Suite at the University Drive Division of the VAPHS. This work may include, but is not limited to: geotechnical investigation, architectural, electrical, mechanical (including controls), plumbing, structural, asbestos abatement, monitoring, and site modifications required to renovate approximately 14,000 square feet of the existing clinical, office, and support space into an expanded Operating Procedure Suite. No further information is available at this time. Interested parties must register on the Interested Vendors List of this FBO announcement. In addition to registering on this site, responses to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer at William.Matelan@va.gov no later than July 19, 2010 at 4:00 PM (EDT). Responses must be limited to five pages or less and must include the following: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socio-economic status and DUNS number. 2. Detailed information of firm's previous experience on projects of a similar scope, complexity and value. This information should include the title, location, description of work, dollar value, and a point of contact for reference (name and phone number) for each project. 3. OPERATING ROOM must appear in the subject line of the email.
