- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for the purpose of conducting market research and obtaining industry information only. The National Park Service will use information obtained through this synopsis to develop an acquisition strategy. Proposals are NOT being requested, nor accepted at this time. Yellowstone National Park is seeking sources who have the ability to perform the following tasks. Conduct a visual search for UXO at priority areas in order to minimize the UXO exposure risk to visitors, employees and contractors. Conduct visual search in specific locations of UXO rounds that have been documented but have not been retrieved. Use hand-held instrumentation to detect below surface UXO in priority areas. Organize team(s) so as to have the greatest likelihood of locating and mapping UXO in high priority areas of upper avalanche paths and near roadways. Map areas of coverage and UXO locations. Dispose of detected UXOs by detonation on-site, when possible Again, at this time the National Park Service is not accepting proposals but is requesting interested businesses furnish information: (1) Company Name, address, point of contact, telephone, and email address. (2) Business Type. (3) Business Size. All responses must be submitted via email to: Andrea_Brew@nps.gov by no later than close of business July 19, 2010.
