- Notice of Intent: Reference # 2010-85718 The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, Division of Global AIDS Program, International Laboratory Branch, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR 13, using simplified acquisition procedures, to Abbott Molecular Inc. 1300 East Touhy Ave, Des Plaines IL, 60018-3315. Abbott Molecular Inc will deliver 11 Real Time HIV-1 Amplification Reagent Kits and 3 Viroseq HIV-1 Genotyping System V2 kits. These kits are needed for the current Abbott system. At this time Abbott Molecular appears to be the only vendor to provide these specific HIV viral load testing kits for the Abbott system. No Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. This advertisement ends in 6 days accordance with FAR 5.203 (A) (1).Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide these HIV viral load testing kits via e-mail, gqq4@cdc.gov. Please include reference number (2010-85718). Please respond by Monday, July 19, 2010.
