- Solicitation Number: VA-69D-10-IB-0484 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation Synopsis: PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for the FCA Electrical Upgrades Project 556-09-115 at the North Chicago VA Medical Center, North Chicago, IL. This is a 100% Service-Disable-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business-Set-Aside (SDVOSB) - Authority 38 USC 8127 (d), PL 109-461 Specifications & Drawings will be posted on line (if any) with the Solicitation for your viewing & download. No copies of the specs & drawings will be sent from this office, if requested. You have access to them at this free site https://www.fbo.gov PLEASE NOTE: If none posted there are none. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract to FCA Electrical Upgrades Project 556-09-115, as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 30, 2010 with the bid opening on or about August 30, 2010. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps https://www.fbo.gov which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is $250,000 - $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238210; size standard $14.0 Million applies. Time for completion is 180 days after Notice to Proceed. There may be a pre-construction conference held for this project, if the engineer would like to have one and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of any pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, http://www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101 VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award as a SDVOSB firm, and must have current record in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to bid opening.
