- This is a request for information (RFI) only, as defined in FAR 15.201(e). This request for information was originally released on 24 June 2010 under solicitation # W91QUZ-09-R-ERP1. It is hereby extended to 19 July 2010. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. Responses to this notice shall not be construed as offers and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. The U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested partys expense. Not responding to this RFI will not preclude participation in any future RFP if issued. The release of Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS) documentation is limited to United States corporations and United States citizens. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. The Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT) is a tactical, multi-modal biometric system that collects and combines biometric (fingerprints, iris images, and facial photographs) and biographical information on persons of DoD interest. BAT is used globally to support a wide range of tactical, operational, and strategic military operations, such as interrogations, combatant/detainee enrollment and management, local hire screening, population management, checkpoint maintenance, and base access control and iris identification is a primary identification capability used within the BAT.
