- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 Contracting Office, Leavenworth, KS, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Roche Diagnostics Corporation, for the preventative maintenance of a Roche Diagnostics Blood Gas Analyzer system located at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4801 Linwood, Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64128. The Contractor shall provide all parts, accessories, software and manuals for the maintenance of these items. NAICS code 811219 with a size standard of $7.0 million. The period of performance for this procurement will be 12 months from date of award. A base year and four option years are contemplated. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, if a firm believes it can meet these requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services, to the Contracting Officer within five calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. If no valid responses are received, the VISN 15 Contracting Office will proceed with the intended sole source contract. Responses must be received no later than 1:00 P.M. CDT on July 20, 2010.
