- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Alaska Science Center, has a requirement for nearshore restoration monitoring services in western Prince William Sound, for the Alaska, Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council project. The Government intends to make a sole source award to Coastal Resources Associates, Inc., Carlsbad, CA, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Contractor is uniquely qualified to perform this work, because they are one of the designers of the program being used. A fixed price type purchase order with a base year and three option periods is contemplated for this requirement. The NAICS code is 541620, Environmental Consulting Services. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested vendors may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement by the close date of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (916) 278-9339 or email vfriesner@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
