- RFQ The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source award in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). A sole-source, fixed-price procurement with Visionary Digital Inc. For the purchase of Two (2) FODIS Imaging System. The FBI will use the FODIS Imaging System to conduct forensic examinations of hazardous evidence and validation of existing technologies for use in nuclear, chemical and biological terrorism investigations. The FODIS Imaging System is manufactured and patented by Visionary Digital Inc. The FBI currently has existing FODIS Imaging System and now requires an additional system to me the increase in demand of forensic examinations. The FODIS Systems were patented and developed by Visionary Digital Inc the imaging systems are critical in for FBI examiners to conduct forensic examinations of hazardous evidence and is only available from Visionary Digital Inc. The software for the FODIS systems maintains three different copyright licenses which apply to the use of the FODIS systems. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests in this requirement to this office by 9:00 AM (Eastern) July 29, 2010, via e-mail to the attention of: Montarious Usher, at Montarious.Usher@ic.fbi.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System Number (NAICS) is 811219 Diagnostic imaging equipment repair and maintenance services. The awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor's Database (CCR) and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
