- Description
- The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to award a sole source contract to Ampac Packaging LLC, 12025 Tricon Road, Cincinnati, OH 45246, to provide gusseted self sealing tamper-proof evidence bags. The custom sized bags will be 22" x 33" and 16" x 21.75" with customized printing(25,000 qty each). They will have a ½" "pouch seal" on the side seams that is required for the security of the sealed sample as well as for the strength and integrity of the bag. The bags will have clear re-sealable pouch on the back of the bag for housing a folded 8.5" x 11" document. The Government believes that only Ampac Packaging is capable of supplying this product. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice is NOT a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can supply these products may give written notification to the Contract Specialist via email at aahmad@cpsc.gov, by 10 AM EST on July 16, 2010. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the above listed email address, Attn: Eddie Ahmad, Contract Specialist. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. Responses received will be evaluated: however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, CPSC will proceed with negotiating a sole source award to Ampac Packaging.
