Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA intends to purchase a Girton Model 80-0 Rack and Cage Washer from FSS, GS-07F-5663P, Girton Manufacturing Co Inc, 160 W Main Street, PO Box 900, Millville, PA 17846-0900 In addition, Open Market materials and Services listed below are required. Interested parties may identify their experience in providing the additional open market materials and services to complete the procurement of the Girton Model 80-0 Rack and Cage Washer to the Contracting Officer via e-mail at anne.johnson@va.gov or fax 319-887-4957. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-263-10-RQ-0304 and issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-42, effective June 16, 2010. The associated NAICS code is 333298 and small business size standard is 500 employees. The acquisition is set-aside for small business. The requirement for the Girton Model 80-0 Rack and Cage Washer includes the following Open Market Materials and Services: ITEM DESCRIPTION 1. Stainless steel hinges and internal door latch parts, Prep kits for acid and neutralizing solutions, Provisions for controlling house exhaust fan or damper, Security access for microprocessor, PLC control system, Emergency mushroom stop buttons, Permanent silicone door gaskets, Stainless steel steam and condensate piping, Exterior mounting of cabinet light, Audible-Visible alarms, In-Sump neutralization of acid solutions prior to drain, Water Hammer Eliminator, Steam Separator, Two Inside Safety Stop Cables, Quick-Lock Connection built into the floor of the wash chamber, Non-Reversing Feature for Header Drive. Total Cost $__________ 2. Unload, uncrate, move-in to Cage Wash Room, Supervision and provide non-union labor for set-in place installation, Hook-up to utilities as provided by the VAMC, Iowa City, Start-up and Testing, Assistance with Commissioning, Operator and maintenance personnel training, Extend standard warranty to include field replacement of defective parts.
