- Description
- The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure an EFT GENII 90 MHz NMR spectrometer, and all related accessories, specifications, warranty, installation, training and delivery requirements in support of the United States Naval Academy, in Annapolis MD. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a), Sole Source acquisition under the authority of the test program for certain commercial items. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Anasazi Instruments Inc., since they are the only known source with the capability of satisfying the government's requirements at this time. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of the solicitation. The NAICS for this requirement is 334516. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and may submit information that shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Contracting Department Philadelphia Office. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this synopsis should be sent to the attention of Thomas Carey, Code 260.1H at thomas.carey2@navy.mil. These responses must be received by 14 July 2010.
