Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modification under Contract N00019-09-C-0005 to be awarded in August of 2010. The subject modification will be issued to Insitu Inc., 118 E Columbia River Way, Bingen WA. The resultant modification will be a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price to procure Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Field Service Representative (FSR) support. The period of performance is estimated to be sixteen (16) weeks from issuance of the modification. This effort is required to sustain the critical flight operations of ScanEagle systems currently operating in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Insitu Inc. owns the data rights, processes, and operation and maintenance publications to operate and maintain these government owned systems. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Under FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source, Insitu Inc., is the only source and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for these highly specialized mission critical requirements. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
