- This is a notice of intent to issue a contract to Illumina, Inc., 9885 Towne Centre Dr., San Diego, CA 92121-1975, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for HumanHT-12 v4 Expression Beadchip Kit (6 pack) and MouseRef-8 v2 Expression BeadChip (6 pack). The Laboratory scanner will only read Illumina arrays due to the increase in resolution necessary to capture the image data. Illumina arrays are only available through the company so must be ordered as sole source items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is AND THE SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AS AN NOTICE OF INTENT. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition circular (FAC 2005-18). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541711 and the small-business size standard is $500. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
