- This is a supplemental attachment to the RFI detailing communication equipment specifications. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) plans to purchase desk sets, consolettes, and additional communications equipment to support the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Tactical Communication Modernization Program. CBP is has a need to update their communications support systems to provide dependant and effective technology to field agents across the U.S. border. The DHS is interested in incorporating commercial equipment with specific features detailed as an attachment to this request for information (RFI). Responses to this RFI will support the acquisition process for this procurement as well as obtain industry input for this requirement. Note: RFI responses will NOT be shared with other industry suppliers and will solely be used as part of the contract planning process. Please utilize NAICS Code 334220 - Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment manufacturing when considering issuing a response to this RFI. Note: NAICS code 334220 is being provided as an anticipated NACIS code only. If industry feels another NAICS code would be more appropriate for this requirement given the specifications provided in the attachment, industry is welcome to make additional NAICS Code suggestions. To aide the Government with the information solicited herein, please also provide: 1. Company name, company address, point of contact, telephone number, email address, and size of your organization (i.e. Large Business, Small Business). 2. Response should identify your organization's experience with radios and repeaters as well as your organizations capability for such equipment to have the specifications/features listed within the attachment to this RFI. 3. Structure of Reponses: Contractors should respond to this RFY by e-mail (only) to anar.desai@dhs.gov as per this RFI and attached equipment specifications.
