- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Battle Creek VA Medical Center 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49037 anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Replace Roads, Curbs and Gutters." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and Part 36 (CONSTRUCTION) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work under this project which consists of: Contractor shall perform general construction and alterations to roads, curbs & gutters, storm sewer systems and specified parking & walkways within the VA Medical Center, Battle Creek, MI. This also includes, but is not limited to, furnishing equipment, labor and materials required for demolition, removal and disposal of existing facilities, grading and drainage operations as well as all work stated in the drawings and specifications for the following locations: Matt Urban Drive, Shafter Circle (N, S, E), Engineering Shops Access Drive Areas, and Parking Lots #1, 2, 11, 14A, 15A, 18. The period of performance is 120 calendar days for the entire project. Magnitude of construction is expected to be between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. NAICS Code for this acquisition is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about 7--2010 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available - all documents for bidding purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder list is maintained. All potential bidders should register with Federal Business Opportunities if interested in this acquisition.
