- Description
- NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a course entitled RF Wireless System DesignFundamentals.The objective of the training is to address the different types ofwireless transceivers and their application in the NASA environment. The training shalluse hands-on and real-life examples to provide a complete understanding in wirelesssystem design techniques and the effects on RF circuit parameters. This training willprovide learners with a specialized training to understand critical performancerequirements and focus on design strategies specifically applicable to NASA. The vendorshall be responsible for providing all training materials. The vendor shall conduct one2-day training sessions and a follow-up 3-day session.Training shall be held at NASAsGlenn Research Center between August 30 September 1 and September 9-19, 2010.NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the training course from Besser Associates Inc., 480 SanAntonio Rd Ste 215, Mountain View, CA 94040-1275. Pursuant to FAR 13.106, theacquisition of these services has been determined to be reasonably available from onlyone source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon July 20, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, whichshall be considered by the agency.Capabilities and qualifications should be submitted to Megan Willis atMegan.M.Willis@nasa.gov.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
