- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a contract to Seaward Marine Services, Inc., 3975 University Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, VA 22030-2520 for follow-on waterborne hull cleaning, inspection, repair and associated ship husbandry work on the underwater portion of U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, and Military Sealift Command ships and craft. These efforts will also be provided to other vessels where established U.S. Navy maintenance agreements exist. This work shall be performed in Zone A, defined as the inland waters along the East Coast of the United States, the entire North and South Atlantic, and the Gulf of Mexico. Work shall be performed in accordance with the procedures for hull cleaning set forth in Naval Ships' Technical Manual, Chapter 081, using diver operated/controlled equipment, and the Underwater Ship Husbandry Manual. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity to include a base year and three option years. Seaward Marine Services, Inc. is the only source with the required expertise, experienced personnel, facilities and equipment necessary to meet the Navy's requirements within the required timeframe.
