Eastern time on 21 July 2010. ***** TYPE OF ANNOUNCEMENT: This is a sources sought synopsis for information and planning purposes only and is issued to determine if there are offerors interested in and capable of supplying and installing 6 Evans Console Command furniture operator positions, as required for the renovation of the Airfield Management Operations (AMOPs ) control center. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this announcement must be received not later than 3:00 P.M. All correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads "FA8601-10-T-0234, Console 24/7 Command Furniture." E-mail filters at WPAFB are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e.,.exe or.zip files). Therefore, if the prescribed subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also.zip or.exe files are prohibited attachments and may be deleted by the WPAFB e-mail filters. Ensure only.pdf,.doc, or.xls documents are sent as attachments to e-mail. NAICS CODE: 337214 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIRMENT: The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, transportation, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services necessary to furnish 6 Evans Console 24/7 Command furniture operator positions to the Airfield Management Operations (AMOPs ) control center. The requirement consists of 6 Evans Console 24/7 Command furniture operator positions and their associated components, furniture, electrical, and installation. Each console position is custom built with special shelving to accommodate multiple personal computers and specialty equipment, as required by the unique mission of the AMOPs. The console must have the ability to easily be transformed from single to back-to-back option, and shall offer almost any layout through the mixing of various module lengths. Removal of existing consoles and existing electrical and data while maintaining 50% usage of existing consoles, electrical and data in the Airfield Operations Management Command Center is required. It is impractical to develop a new line of consoles or require that a manufacturer modify a line they already produce. SITE VISIT: A site visit is scheduled for 8 July 2010 at 09:00 A.M. (EST). This site visit is not mandatory. Attendees will meet at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center Parking Lot under the Packy's canopy inside Gate 12A, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, No later than 8:45 hours A.M (EST). From there, transportation will be provided to visit the site of the Consoles. Interested parties shall e-mail the names of all attendees (not to exceed two per company) to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Ryan Huffman, at ryan.huffman@wpafb.af.mil prior to 10:00 A.M. (EST) on 07 July 2010. In addition, the full name and address of the company represented shall also be submitted at that time. This information must be provided in order to ensure access to the military installation. Be advised that use of recording devices (audio, video, etc.) are prohibited during the site visit. A tour of the interior of selected facilities will also be included as part of the site visit. Please make sure to bring your Driver's License to the site visit in order to gain access into the facility. CAPABILITIES PACKAGE: Interested firms should submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation that describes the firm's capability to provide all of the supplies and services described above. Include the firm's name, physical address, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, website URL, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE), and Dun & Bradstreet Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number, if available. The firm should also state if it is a small business in the NAICS Code applicable to the requirement. Capabilities statements, proposals, or quotes should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate the ability to acquire, provide and install the systems furniture at fair and reasonable prices.
