- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, Q5120105663, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This procurement is being issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 19.502-2 (a). The is a total small business set-aside with an applicable NAICS code of 561730. The small business size standard is $7 million average annual receipts fro preceding three fiscal years. The National Park Service intends to issue one Firm-Fixed Price contract for the following items: Contractor will deliver and install #1 Argentine Bahia sod for campsites in the Bear Island Campground. The square footage is approximately 116,000 square feet. Delivery date will be determined by Big Cypress due to possible high water issues in preparing campsites for installation of sod.Work to prepare sites will need to meet requirements of the South Florida Water Management District concerns before installation of sod. Contractor delivery and installation may be delayed due to possible adverse weather conditions which may force preserve closure; EX: tropical storms or hurricanes.Delivery sites will be accessible by deliver truck and forklift. Bear Island Campground is located in Collier County at the north end of Turner River Road. (Community of Ochopee, FL)Supply/Install 116,000 square feet of Argentine Bahia sod, 1 JOB__________________________$____________ No deliveries are to be made on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays without prior permission from the Contracting Officer. The Government will award one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-40. Instructions to Offerors-Commercial 52.212-1, applies to this acquisition. 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies, while price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offerors, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price and other factors described in the solicitation. 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and conditions-Commercial Items, and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions required implementing statutes or executive orders commercial items all apply to this solicitation. Executive Order 13513, Prohibition on Text Messaging and Using Electronic Equipment Supplied by the Government While Driving, also applies to this solicitation. All offers are due at the National Park Service,Biscayne National Park, 9700 SW 328th St., Homestead, FL 33033, no later than 3:00pm (EST) on Monday, August 9, 2010.
