Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with WHO-World Health Organization, Geneva 27 Switzerland, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following items: 1) - Conference Support with the World Health Organization. This is a prearranged meeting that NIEHS is facilitating with WHO. NIEHS has collaborated with WHO for several years on projects which bring together international science experts to evaluate controversial issues in environmental health science. The NIEHS/NIH and the NTP are convening a meeting with a unique group of international experts to review the state of science for Bisphenol A. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contract Specialist at the address stated below. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 6 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 6 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with WHO-World Health Organization. The NAICS Code/Size is 541990/7.0 EMP. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
