Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for a qualified and experienced casting and machining company to cast, machine, package, and mark adjustable drag grates and heel pads used on board the U.S. Army Dredge McFarland. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all plant, labor, material, expertise and equipment to perform all operations in connection with the manufacturing and delivery of Dragheads and Heel Pads. All work is to be done in accordance with Drawings, and requirements listed as well as those outlined in the RFQ. The total performance period for this procurement will be approximately Two (2) grates in 90 days after award, Ten (10) grates in 120 days after award, and Eight (8) heel pads in 120 days after award. The acquisition will be solicited using the procurement process prescribed in Part 12, Commercial Items, of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specs should be made via FBO Internet homepage. Hardcopies will not be available. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 703-461-2460 or by accessing the following Internet web site: http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on getting registered may be obtained by phoning 1-888-227-2423 or on the website. Solicitation Number W912BU-10-T-0029 will be issued on or about Friday, 19 Mar 2010 with quotes due on or about Friday, 02 April 2010. Mailed, faxed or emailed quote submissions will be accepted. Quotes can be sent to ATTN: Mr. James M. Jackson, The Wanamaker Building 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia PA 19107-3396, Faxed to 215-656-6798, or emailed directly to james.m.jackson2@usace.army.mil.
