- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 6.302-1. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: Item# 1Lasair Mfg. Part Number 101110-11111 each The intended delivery date for the items is August 14th, 2010. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Particle Measuring Systems, Inc., 5475 Airport Boulevard, Boulder, Colorado 80301-2339. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Business Size Standard is 500. See attached Sole Source Justification All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 3:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time, July 14th, 2010. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
