- The U.S. Department of agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for a project entitled Building 8 Exterior Renovations. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and performing all work in strict accordance with these specifications for Renovations to Building 8, Jamie Whitten Delta Research Center, Stoneville, MS. 38776. The period of performance is 90 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible businesses meeting the requirement may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 236220 and the annual size standard under the Small Business Competiveness Demonstration Program for this project is 33.5 million. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 07/22/2010. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation package. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders visit the project site, inspect and observe the site conditions, and review the project scope and requirements at the site prior to submission of bid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Bids will be due by 2:00 PM CST on August 25, 2010 (at the address shown in the solicitation package), unless the due date has been changed in the solicitation. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR).
