- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Spacesaver Northwest, LLC for Compact Shelving Fabrication and Installation in support of the Naval History and Heritage Command. The required high-density storage systems are needed in order to safely store and preserve artifacts, hanging art, and archived materials. The vendor is responsible for making all precise final measurements necessary to design, fabricate, and install the compact shelving. The storage systems must be appropriate for storing museum artifacts and documents and typical of contemporary high density storage systems used by museums nationally. The vendor will provide and install all deck, rails, and floor covering needed to support the compact storage units at each of the three installation locations. The storage units will be constructed of steel unless otherwise noted. The storage units will be painted with a powder coat. Gaps and imperfections in the paint are not acceptable. This will be a Firm-fixed-price contract, and shipping will be FOB Destination. The solicitation will be issued on or about 20 July 2010 with a closing date of 30 July 2010. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-10-T-1880. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals is NOT available at this time.
