- This is a total HubZone Set-aside. GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: NF Grouse Creek Bridge Replacement: Work includes but not limited to: The project involves the removal of an existing 10 foot diameter CMP and construction of a new 67' span bridge with a pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee beam superstructure on a precast concrete grade beam foundation. The bridge project is located on Forest Service Road No. 280 at mile post 1.7 on the Sandpoint Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests in Bonner County, Idaho. The project work includes, but not limited to; removal of existing CMP structure, minor clearing and grubbing, structural excavation, furnish and placement of riprap, furnish and installation of precast concrete grade beams and wing-walls, furnish and installation of precast pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee beams, excavation and embankment, crushed aggregate surfacing, equipment rental stream realignment work, stream diversion(s), soil erosion and pollution control, contractor construction quality control and associated minor work items. The estimated start work date for ordering & submittals is September 15, 2010. The inclusive dates for the contract on site work is July 15 - October 15, 2011. The price range for this project is: $250,000 - $500,000<> As this is a Construction project a 20 percent bid guarantee is required....and upon award performance and payment bonds equaling 100 percent of the contract award price will be required within 10 days of award.<><> PROJECT LOCATION: The project can be accessed by traveling approximately 6.8 miles east on Highway 200 from Sandpoint, Idaho. Turn left off Highway 200 onto the Colburn Culver Road. Travel 5.8 miles and turn right on the Grouse Creek Cutoff Road. Travel 1.5 miles on the Grouse Creek Cutoff Road to the Grouse Creek Road No. 280 (pavement ends at mile point 1.2 on the Grouse Creek Cutoff Road). Turn right onto Grouse Creek Road No. 280 and travel 1.8 miles to the Forest Service Boundary where you will cross the concrete bridge over Grouse Creek on Road No. 280. Continue on Road No. 280 another 1.7 miles to the NF Grouse Creek crossing and the project site. This project site is located on the Sandpoint Ranger District in Section 20, R1E, T59N, Bonner County Idaho. SOLICITATION INFORMATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) website on or about July 22, 2010 for viewing and printing. Potential responders are requested to obtain the solicitation, including plans/drawings from the Internet FBO site. No hard-copy solicitations will be issued.<> Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date which will occur the date the actual solicitation is posted on FBO and may or may not be July 22, 2010, the targeted date for posting the solicitation. The official closing date will be on the solicitation. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted notices of synopses such as this, you will be automatically notified via email of the posting of the actual solicitation and any changes to the project such as amendments you may be required to acknowledge. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive a contract award and in some cases to even be eligible to be responsive to the solicitation, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases.
