- The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:Application of sprayed-on foreproofing and/or intumescent paint materials to protect structural steel.Fire stopping existing and/or newly made through penetrations or opening through fire resistance rated walls, floors, soffit, with fire-stop assemblies including sealant(s), caulks, and mortar.Installation of smoke gaskets on doors.Adjustment/replacement of doors, door closers and latches.Installation of a new fire alarm system, and kitchen hood extinguishing system.Reprogramming of existing elevatorInstallation of new LED exist signs, and fire extinguishers.Modifications to and testing, adjusting and balancing of the existing stair pressurization system Training of personnel. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - NAICS - 236220 - Estimate price range between $200,000 and $300,000. The request must include the company name, point of contact address, phone and fax number. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT)Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business utilization has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and control by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime and sub-contractor at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enable firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit of $750,000.
