- This is a pre-solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.. The solicitation number is W81GYE-10-T-0015 and is issued as an Request For Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-35. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 333924 with a Small Business (SB) Size Standard of 750 employees. This requirement is a (Small Business) set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The 596th US Army Transportation Terminal Group, Sunny Point, requires the procurement of One (1) Diesel Fuel Supply Truck per attached Salient Characteristics/Specifications in solicitation package. All vendors must be CCR Registered at http://www.ccr.gov prior to receiving award. All Quotes must be submitted on or before 16 July 2010 by 12:00 Noon EST via fax (910) 457-8595 or E-Mail: deirdre.murphy@us.army.mil. Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation by 9 July 2010 to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions must be submitted by e-mail: deirdre.murphy@us.army.mil. Questions not received by prescribed date will not be considered. In responding to this solicitation/request for quote, you must provide the manufacturer's name and salient characteristics of the equipment you are proposing to sell to the Government. Salient characteristics are defined as pronounced features of an item that identify, describe its size and composition, functional intent, and/or operational capabilities or limits. Award will be made in the aggregate to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible offeror. Failure to submit and offer on specifications will render the offer non-responsive. Equipment must be American Made (no substitution). New equipment ONLY, NO remanufactured equipment. SPECIFICATIONS: SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS FUEL SUPPLY TRUCK 1.SPECIFICATIONS: Specification covers requirements for a diesel fuel supply truck (American Made); Fuel Truck split tank 2400 gallon or greater not to exceed 3000 gallon. Capacity 2,400 Gallon Split Tank plus 3% 1400 gal/1000 gal. (minimum not to exceed 3000 gal.). This vehicle is capable of being top or bottom filled as well as extracting fuel from inground tanks (with all adapters and piping to do so). Overfill Protection system to include On board Monitor, Thermistor Probe Thermistor Socket & Cap, ETC. Emergency shutoffs- A minimum of three shutoffs One on top of tank one in the rear of the truck and one on the drivers side of the truck. All vehicles must be delivered between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:00PM. 5.MANUALS: Vendor shall provide the following manuals with delivery of the truck: Chassis - 3 maintenance manuals Tanker w/equipment - 3 operations and 3 maintenance manuals 6. WARRANTY: Complete manufactures unlimited warranty: Vendor must specify for each component including fuel tanker equipment Activation - All OEM warranty coverage shall be activated upon acceptance.
