- The United States Army Contracting Command Joint Munitions & LethalityContracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the ARDEC Ops Center of the Armaments Research Engineering Center (ARDEC) has a requirement for a contractor highly qualified in professional engineering services for technical support on the Scorpion and Spider Systems to integrate new technologies to be used in these systems. These new technologies consist of an autonomous non-lethal alert, a personnel detection sensor, a low collateral self destruct approach, and the Scorpion Aerial Bridge or Range Extension Device will lead to a new radio which will be capable of extending communications when the Line Of Sight (LOS) is obstructed. The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement by soliciting, negotiating, and awarding a sole source effort with to Textron Systems Corporation, Wilmington, MA, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition is being conducted using simplified acquisition procedures; however, responsible offerors may submit a capability statement, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. All responsible/interested sources shall submit their qualifications and capabilities via email to jeremy.phillips6@us.army.mil NO LATER THAN COB 06 July, 2010, TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
