- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), intends to award a modification to contract 200-2006-18096 with the University of California-Berkeley, Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP). Under this modification, UCB-LOHP will work with project partners and NIOSH to finalize plans for the dissemination of materials previously developed under this contract. The contractor will work to make the materials available through electronic means (CD or website posting) to enable homecare providers and other stakeholders to use them nationally. The contractor will also assist NIOSH with the planning of a national home care worker health and safety conference tentatively scheduled for 2011 and will present a summary of the project activities at the conference. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a), the University of California-Berkeley, Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) is the only known organization which can provide the unique expertise and community resources necessary to efficiently and effectively perform the follow-on work. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities are hereby afforded the opportunity to submit their capabilities statement and supporting information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages. This information must be submitted within 15 days from the posting date of this notice. This is not a Request for Proposals; however, the government will review any/all capabilities statements and supporting information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could perform the effort. Information received in response to this notice will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, negotiations will be conducted with the University of California-Berkeley, Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) as the only source, and a modification to contract 200-2006-18096 will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
