- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The procurement is a requirement for tube fittings necessary to conduct hazardous testing. These tube fittings are used to form a liquid/gas seal at tube joints in low and high pressure systems. Due to the nature of testing required by the end user, to ensure the safety of ECBC personnel, and the complete compatibility with existing Swagelok fittings, it is imperative that tube fittings are not interchanged with components produced by different manufactures. As a result of a notice of intent to make a brand name award for Swagelok fittings to Baltimore Valve & Fitting, this action is open for brand name competition. Line Items: See attached listing.
