- THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This notice is for information and planning purposes only. In accordance with Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Government is requesting information from both DoD contractors and US Government agencies to determine candidate approaches for implementation of SEIWG ICD-0101A in DoD Force Protection/Physical Security systems. This Request for Information (RFI) does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Hanscom Electronic Resources Bulletin Board (HERBB) and FedBizOps websites. Please be aware that all information submitted in response to this request, whether written, oral, electronic, graphic or any other medium, is considered public information! under the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552. The Government is not obligated to and will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender.The purpose of this RFI is to identify candidate approaches to implementation of SEIWG ICD-0101A in DoD Force Protection / Physical Security systems across all four services. There are many companies that are already building and fielding many products to the DoD Services. The SEIWG's goal to use this ICD could potentially affect every one of those companies and products. The SEIWG is requesting your thoughts on how to best achieve this implementation.
