- Sole Source Justification and Approval Notice of Intent to Sole Source-Only One Responsible Source This is a notice of Government intent to solicit from, negotiate with, and authorize and approve an award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, on a Sole Source basis, with AMERICAN SCIENCE & ENGINEERING, 829 MIDDLESEX RD, BILLERICA,MA,01821 to provide ONE (1) GEMINI 100100 X-RAY MACHINE for a secured location in Ft. Detrick, MD. Under the statutory authority for other than full and open competition 10 USC 2304(c)(1): FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 423450 and the size standard is 100 employees. This not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers. No solicitation package will be available. Please see the attached Justification for other than Full and Open Competition for further details. However, the Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available.
