- The Bureau of Indian Education intends to award sole source firm fixed price purchase order to EBSCO Publishing. It has been determined that EBSCO Publishing to provide Business Source Elite and Academic Search Elite electronic databases. The Government intends to make an award for one (1) base year with 4 additional Option years. EBSCO database is currently installed and being used by faculty and students. Academic Search Elite & Business Source Elite electronic databases provide full-text articles from over 3,300 journals with full coverage in biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, business disciplines, marketing, finance, economics, accounting, management, etc. These electronic databases are strongly supported by the Haskell Indian Nations University faculty for their own research. Students use these full-text articles to support their research papers for their coursework. If it is not renew, it will no longer be available for faculty and students to access and would be removed from the Library Website and Resources.The purpose of this procurement is to award based on a sole source requirement. Price quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. This procurement will be made pursuant to simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 13.501-(a)(2). This notice is neither a request for proposals, nor a solicitation of offers. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities and qualifications to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions may be directed via email jbegay@haskell.edu..
