- RECOVERY THIS ACTION IS FUNDED THROUGH THE RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009.A COMPETITIVE NEW CONTRACT, FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D), TO OPTIMAL SYNTHESIS,INC., CA CONTRACT NO. NNA10DE59C entitled Surface Conflict Detection and Resolution withEmphasis on Trajectory-Based Operations the R&D efforts will focus on achieving thehighest possible efficiency in the use of such airportal resources as gates, taxiways,runways, and metroplex airspace. NASA Ames Research Center has committed support for specific efforts under the AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.Recovery Act funds NASAs Airspace SystemsProgram Research funded by the Recovery Act. The NASA Research Announcement (NRA),NNH09ZEA001N-AP1R sought proposals that focused on achieving the highest possibleefficiency in the use of such airportal resources as gates, taxiways, runways, andmetroplex airspace.
