Description
The 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL is seeking vendors to provide two five day training seminars for the Air Force Chaplain Corps College to meet the following training objectives: 1. Equip chaplains in order to provide supportive trauma coping skills for victims of sexual assault/Rape and their families 2. Equip chaplains with self care tools to meet the demands of doing ministry with a special population of military members who have experienced sexual assault 3. Offer new lenses of viewing PTSD/Trauma from the victim's perspective 4. Pastoral/theological intervention strategies for victims/perpetrators and bystanders 5. Provide a step by step skill set on how to engage in a healing conversation with traumatized sexual assault victims 6. Provide a didactic/interactive model for healing based on selected spiritual and theological perspectives drawn from major faith groups in the Air Force Chaplain Corps 7. Understand grief and healing in relationship to trauma 8. Understand the links between trauma/spirituality/crisis and healing SCOPE OF SERVICES 1. Awardee's faculty in collaboration with AFCCC will consent to the curriculum that will cover all the objectives stated above in 5 days. Two sessions are proposed that will train 35 participants per session for up to 70 USAF Chaplain Personnel 2. Awardee will provide faculty, facilities and other logistical requirements to make this 5 day training a successful event 3. AFCCC will provide a list of selected chaplains to Awardee and take care of all administrative requirements (transportation and billeting of the chaplains and chaplain assistants attending the training) 4. A calendar comprising travel and training dates will be collaborated between Awardee and the AFCCC. Current proposed dates of training are two sessions from 19-23 July 2010 and 16-20 August 2010. 5. Upon completion of this training, participants will be awarded a certificate of participation showing the appropriate continuing education units 6. Cancellation. Termination by either party will require that written notification be sent by registered mail 30 days before the scheduled dates of either 5-day training session: ESTIMATE COSTS 1. Two 5 full day training sessions - 0830 to 1600 (with up to 35 participants per session) 2. Total estimated participants will be up to 70 people 3. Total estimated costs for up to 70 people -$_________
