- Description
- The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia is looking to procure supplies for Commander Navy Reserve Forces. The requirement calls for nine Axle Jacks. The product description for the requirement is as followed: 35-Ton Compact Type Axle Jack, (Fly Away Model) with High and Low Pressure Manual Hand Pump, Air Operated Pump with Air Relief Valve and Skydrol Resistant Paint (Yellow). The government plans to solicit only one source, Malabar International. Furthermore, the Government believes Malabar International is the only company that manufactures the specific model necessary to perform the daily tasks. Model # 8782 is designed and authorized (under SODARR 2010-0152) for use on U.S.N. C40A (Boeing 737-700/800) aircrafts. Interested companies may identify their capability to provide the required supply. This is not a request for quotes. Information received as a result of this notification will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. However, all capability information received by the designated time on 28 June 2010 will be considered by the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336999. Information must be sent to FISC Norfolk, Contracting Dept., Philadelphia Office, Bldg., 2B, 700 Robbins Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111 no later than 5:00 p.m. (local time) on 28 June 2010 using Reference Number: N0007210RC8N013.
