- Description
- The 319th Contracting Squadron, Grand Forks Air Force Base intends to award a construction contract with the work requirements to be performed by the contractor consisting of, but not limited to all plant, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to complete JFSD 200828, Repair Lightning Protection-BNCC (Bldg 242) & COMM Switch (Bldg 102) in strict accordance with the construction documents. The project consists of the installation of a signal reference (grounding) system for each facility including all necessary electrical and preparation work. The project also includes the installation of a Lightning Protection System to provide each facility with a 1:1 cone of protection. The Lightning Protection System shall be certified with a UL "Master Label." This is an unrestricted acquisition. The resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract with a magnitude of $100,000 to $250,000. The performance period will be 120 days with a winter exclusion of 1 Nov through 15 Apr. This acquisition is being synopsized under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors, and the small business size standard is $14 million. This will be a Request for Proposal (RFP), Performance Price Tradeoff (PPTO) solicitation. There will be no public bid opening. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15 and the terms in the solicitation. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Section L & M of the solicitation. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and ORCA database or their proposal will not be considered for award. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor Registration database at web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and http://orca.bpn.gov/. The solicitation will only be available for viewing and downloading at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies or CD-ROMs will be issued. Expected posting of the solicitation will be on or about 8 Jul 2010.
